Location

Located in Combloux (High-Savoy/France) at an altitude of 1050 m

Located 3 km from Megève, 20 from Chamonix and Italy, 80 from Annecy and Switzerland

Situation 

The mountain cottage dominates the glaciated valley of Sallanches. Situated in the middle of 3 great ski resorts: Megève/Combloux/St Gervais

Area

When you come to Combloux it means you are taking advantage of an exceptional situation which will enable you at will to go on many excursions and walks of discovery on high and medium mountain (between 900 and 2000 m), in a particularly rich site known for its fauna and flora.

Called "the Mont-Blanc's Pearl ", Combloux forms part of the 14 communes and even though well known as a tourist area still retains its traditions and the intimacy of a small village.

Dominated by this giant of 4807 m, this area offers imposing landscapes to you.

The mountain cottage is :

• registered by the commission for safety for 42 people.
• registered by the direction Youth and Sport for 29 children and the staff.

Description of mountain cottage

In a 3 floor-house of Savoyard style, the mountain cottage is established on a ground of 2000m² of which 1000m² of parks, dominating the glaciated valley of Sallanches and dominated by the glaciers of the Mont-Blanc chain.

The establishment includes:

• 11 bedrooms for 2/3 and 4 people with wash-hand basin (hot/cold water)
• 2 mini dormitories of 6 beds with wash-hand basin (hot/cold water)
• 5 showers / 1 bathroom and 4 WC distributed on the various floors
• 1 collective kitchen to the European standards (3 rooms with cold room, refrigerator, deep-freezer, 5 burner-cooker, oven, dishwasher...)
• 1 small playroom and a general-purpose room (TV)
• 1 room for ski storage
• 1 dining room for 40 people
• 1 bar corner / living room with chimney and balcony
• 1 car park for 14 cars or 1 coach

Town's features

The first ecological mountain lake in France: a 100% ecological lake facing the Mont-Blanc in the middle of the village for swimming with pure water and no chemical products.

The proximity of the village of Saisies (1800m) and of Chamonix guarantees the practice of the ski in season.

Local resources

Winter: When the slopes are open, a free shuttle bus service ensures the connection to the ski slopes.

Walks in rackets/cross-country skiing/ballades in sledges/Olympic skating rink...

Summer: Rafting, Horse-riding

On the spot: VTT, fishing, parapente , hot air balloon flight, horse-riding school, swimming pool, ecological lake, tennis, rafting, climbing, golf, excursions on medium and high mountain.
